The exploration of organic structures and elements is intricately etched into the surfaces of her artworks. An unconventional application of paint, multiple layers of oil paint and pigments, and the "destruction" of the structure are all components of Tanja Thordsen's technique.

She aims to uncover hidden elements and bring elements into unexpected contexts. To awaken the viewer's curiosity and invite them to take their time and experience the art.

The artist's positive attitude to life is reflected in her expressionistic and colorful visual language. The viewer is encouraged to follow their associations and creates a new world that can serve as a source of strength and energy. Her art is intended to encourage people to approach the unknown with an open mind and positivity.

Inspired by great masters such as Gerhard Richter and Larry Poons, she discovered oil painting. She adopted this method as her own, but over the years she increasingly modified it and developed her own unique technique.

The artist's paintings are exhibited internationally and can be found in private collections all over the world.
